Haynes 25 (L605) is a cobalt-based alloy known for its excellent high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and excellent corrosion resistance. They include cobalt (standard), chromium (20-25%), tungsten (12-15%) and nickel (balance). Technical features include 120,000 psi tensile strength, 60,000 psi yield strength, and 15% elongation. It performs well at temperatures up to 2000°F, making it ideal for turbine engines, aerospace, and chemical applications. Its advantages include exceptional oxidation resistance, high strength at elevated temperatures and excellent corrosion resistance.
