Duplex steel foils are composed of approximately 22-25% chromium, 4-7% nickel, and small amounts of molybdenum, manganese, and nitrogen. They offer a balance of ferritic and austenitic stainless steel properties. With a tensile strength around 620 MPa and high yield strength, they excel in mechanical toughness and resistance to corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and pitting. Duplex foils perform well in aggressive environments like seawater and chemicals. Their advantages include superior weldability, cost efficiency, and improved durability compared to traditional stainless steel types.
